Alana Marie was captivated by the enchanting melodies that flowed from her Uncle Bill’s piano, filling the room with the magic of Broadway tunes. From sitting on the piano bench while he practiced, to watching him perform on stage, she felt the first sparks of inspiration ignite within her. With fond memories and lasting influence of family members playing different instruments and singing & dancing to other genres of music, it filled her heart with infectious joy! Alana Marie knew what she wanted… She fully immersed herself in the world of music, and discovered her deep love for R&B, Funk, Soul, Pop and especially Rock music. She developed her vocal technique, pushing her range and infusing emotion into every note!

Alana Marie is grateful for her gift and love of music, and has acquired a collection of experiences of both stage and studio, from touring to recording for jingles, short films and commercials. Now with three studio releases worldwide, she is enjoying working on her fourth CD, with a completely new sound and some exciting new collaborations in the works to share her creative skill. Whether she is giving you all she’s got in the studio, or belting it out live, Alana Marie has a voice that can soothe you with a heartfelt ballad or energize your spirit with a lively, power pop driven tune. Her intoxicating sound, energy, contagious all-out performance and her striking presence are unforgettable!

In a distinguished career, Alana Marie expanded her musical horizons through collaborations with renowned musicians and producers, marking her global influence. Her CDs, including “Liquid Love”, “Bossa Brazil,” and “Naked Bossa” achieved worldwide acclaim with stellar musicianship and collaborations with icons like Robertinho do Recife and Torcuato Mariano. She is honored to be a guest vocalist on the upcoming “Women of Mississippi” CD and Documentary, alongside Cassandra Wilson, Eden Brent, Rhonda Davis and many other talented beings! Melding American Music Heritage with Brazilian flavors, Alana captivates listeners across ages and countries with soulful melodies. Notably, her original song “How Did You Know” was featured by APPLE and BOSE in their global campaigns. Alana Marie is a featured guest on Brazilian multi-platinum star Zé Ramalho’s (Sony Music) CD “Parceria dos Viajantes”. On a track produced by legendary multi-platinum artist, Robertinho do Recife, the CD received a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best MPB Album. As a lead artist on over 30 tracks, Alana is a prominent voice in the new Brazilian Music Movement, reaching Europe, Asia, and soon the US. Her contributions to various CDs, including “Christmas in Rhythm & Bossa”, showcase her versatility alongside Phil Woods, Danilo Caymmi and Franco Sattamini. Working with Bossa Nova co-inventor Roberto Menescal and Raymundo Bittencourt at Albatroz Records in Brazil, she continues to shape the landscape of contemporary Brazilian music.

back

Through music, Alana Marie has contributed to charitable causes like The Rhythm & Blues Foundation, Children with Autism, Central Parents Association for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired, Rick Weiss AIDS Foundation, benefits for NYC Police, Project Angel Food and more. She was a co-founder of “Rock for UCP” a program that has brought funds and hope to those affected by Cerebral Palsy. One thing she is extremely passionate about is rescuing and helping animals that are in need. She is determined to use her platform to help make changes regarding animal abuse and breed specific laws that affect our beloved furry friends. She is working on a song, to be released soon, with the hopes of raising money for this worthy cause. Alana Marie is a true beauty, inside and out…she radiates positivity and spreads joy wherever she goes. Her voice is a powerful instrument that carries her emotions and touches the hearts and souls of those who listen!
